Our Mission Statement

Our organization strives to make our neighborhood and Jersey City a better place to live. Our boundaries are the Palisade Cliffs to the east, New York Avenue to the west, Booream Avenue to the south, and Congress Street to the north.

Who We Are

Founded in 1983, The Riverview Neighborhood Association is one of the oldest neighborhood associations in Jersey City. We actively partner with our neighbors, local government, and local organizations to improve our neighborhood and surrounding communities.

Over the years, our active partnerships have allowed us to accomplish many achievements. Most recently these achievements have been:

2007-2008Restoration of direct bus service to New York City on Palisade Ave through partnerships with local and state officials and New Jersey Transit
2007-2008Protected the views from Riverview-Fiske Park from being blighted by unwanted active recreation sites proposed in the Parks Master Plan
2007-2008Lobbied to defeat a proposed change to the zoning ordinance that would have allowed front yard parking
2000-2005RNA drafted and helped lobby for legislation to protect the Palisade Cliffs from development resulting in the Steep Slope Ordinance
2000-2005Partnered with local organizations to defeat the Millennium Towers high rise and protected Riverview-Fisk Park from development

Monthly Meetings

Our meetings are held on the secon Tuesday of each month (except August) at 7:30PM at the Harborview Health Center, 178 Ogden Avenue (corner of Franklin Street).

Donations & Membership Information

The Riverview Neighborhood Association is sustained through annual membership dues, local donations, and local events such as the Annual RNA Flea Market in the Park. Donations and dues can be made via the following:

Annual dues are $10 for residents, $15 for those outside RNA boundaries.
