Who We Are
Founded in 1983, The Riverview Neighborhood Association is one of the oldest neighborhood associations in Jersey City. We actively partner with our neighbors, local government, and local organizations to improve our neighborhood and surrounding communities.
Over the years, our active partnerships have allowed us to accomplish many achievements. Most recently these achievements have been:
| 2007-2008 | Restoration of direct bus service to New York City on Palisade Ave through partnerships with local and state officials and New Jersey Transit |
| 2007-2008 | Protected the views from Riverview-Fiske Park from being blighted by unwanted active recreation sites proposed in the Parks Master Plan |
| 2007-2008 | Lobbied to defeat a proposed change to the zoning ordinance that would have allowed front yard parking |
| 2000-2005 | RNA drafted and helped lobby for legislation to protect the Palisade Cliffs from development resulting in the Steep Slope Ordinance |
| 2000-2005 | Partnered with local organizations to defeat the Millennium Towers high rise and protected Riverview-Fisk Park from development |
